Heidi and I had a wonderful weekend these past few days with Shawn and Lynn and children coming up to visit us. It wasn’t nearly as warm as it was for the past week with temperatures dropping so low as to bring snow last night, but we still went for some walks around some of the parks and managed to enjoy the little sunshine we had between the rain clouds. It’s difficult to do that sometimes. I mean, it sometimes is really difficult to enjoy the sunshine between the clouds. I get my eyes so focused on the clouds and things that are happening, that I forget that hidden behind them, is sunshine and warmth. It is so wonderful to know that we have hope. It hurts for me to even think of those that have “no hope”. I went to one of the most difficult funerals of my life today. It really made me realize that Christians are truly the only ones who know of the sunshine that sometimes peeks through the clouds. And that makes us smile.
