Wisdom Teeth. Who could have thought that four little bones in the mouth could create such a hassle. It all started with my dental hygenist who asked if I was going to have my wisdom teeth out. Of course the usual question is why, and the answer given was because in the long run, they would be very difficult to clean and there could possibly be problems with the gums. So last Thursday I had all four removed. It doesn’t seem that bad, and truth be told, it really wasn’t. They knocked me out, pulled the teeth, and sent me on my merry way 40 minutes later. It wasn’t until yesterday when I woke up, that I discovered one side of my face to be bloated like a chipmunk, and I was running a fever. Oh the fun of it. Anyway, the long and short of it being that one of the empty sockets is infected and I go back in to see the dentist today at 14:00. So let me just warn you that if, when you have your wisdom teeth removed it seems like a breeze for the first few days, just wait longer. It might not be all that much fun in the longer run. Smile. I am (however bloated).
